If you are a truly romantic at heart, visit the Butterfly Conservatory at The American Museum of Natural History. Walk around in this magical summer environment, surrounded by tropical flowers and lush vegetation in 80-degree temperatures. The annual installation—which includes species such as iridescent blue morpho butterflies, bright red swallowtails and green bird wings—is an excellent chance to check out the creatures up close in a naturalistic setting. The Butterfly Conservatory is open from October to May.
